 | Online\, via Zoom \nUpcoming Topics & Speakers \nMonday\, May 11\, 2026\nFeaturing:\nLorenzo’s House: Bringing Younger-Onset Dementia into the Light \nSpeakers: \nPatti LaFleur\nPrograms Lead; Lorenzo’s House \nPatti is the former carepartner to her mom\, Linda\, who had younger-onset dementia – and a former elementary educator of over 10 years. Patti designs and leads Lorenzo’s House programs with intentionality\, knowledge\, and love. Her capacity to connect with family members through lived experience and profound generosity of spirit sets the tone for how Lorenzo’s House shows up for families. Patti has a Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner\, who has spent countless hours volunteering with people living with neurocognitive disorders\, and as a community educator for the Alzheimer’s Association. Patti’s kindness\, energy\, and lived experience are a gift for anyone who meets her. \nJessica Eggert\nYouth Programs Lead; Lorenzo’s House \nJessica was born and raised in Chicago\, and has been an educator in Chicago for 18 years. Jessica is also the Youth Programs Lead at Lorenzo’s House\, empowering young people and their families walking with younger-onset dementia through an array of holistic support. In this role\, she facilitates Light Clubs – virtual hangouts for those of all ages who have a parent with younger-onset dementia – and carepartner connection spaces for those who have – or had – a spouse/partner with younger-onset dementia. Jessica’s late mother was diagnosed with younger-onset dementia in 2014\, so she knows deeply how important it is to bring light to those who walk this journey\, and how much power and relief there is in connecting with others who understand. \nJessica Christensen\nFamily Care Partner \nJessica is 16 years old and in 10th grade. Her dad has younger-onset dementia. Jessica has been a YOUTH LEAD at Lorenzo’s House for several years\, a leader at Light Club\, and featured on numerous podcasts & webinars. 1:00 – 2:30 PM\nOnline\, via Zoom \nMonday\, March 9\, 2026\nLori Smetanka\nExecutive Director\, National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care\nPresenting on the topic of: \nUpholding Rights in Long-Term Services & Supports\nLori Smetanka is the Executive Director of the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care\, the leading national nonprofit advocacy organization representing consumers receiving long-term care and services in nursing homes\, assisted living facilities\, and home and community based settings. As Executive Director\, Lori oversees and contributes to the organization’s policy\, advocacy\, and program activities; leads the organization’s fundraising efforts; establishes strategic partnerships with organizations and federal agencies working on issues related to the provision of long-term services and supports; and establishes the strategic direction of the organization. From 2004 – 2016\, Lori served as the Director of the National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center (NORC)\, providing technical assistance\, training\, and support to the 53 State Ombudsmen and they statewide networks across the country. Prior to that role\, Lori served as Law and Policy Specialist at Consumer Voice\, where she provided policy analysis\, consultation\, education\, technical assistance\, and training on long-term care issues. She received a B.A. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania\, and a J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. \nRegister here!
