The following are events throughout the community that may be helpful to caregivers, those with dementia, and those interested in making their communities more dementia-friendly. There are both virtual and live events, some hosted by The Ohio Council for Cognitive Health, and many hosted by our friends and partners in the community. We hope you find them helpful!

As part of the Dementia Friendly Nevada Distinguished Speaker Series, speakers present various topics in dementia care.
This FREE training is delivered virtually via Zoom over the course of four 3.5-hour sessions (you must complete all four sessions to receive your certificate).

Drawing from evidence-based practices and a holistic understanding of dementia, this comprehensive training is grounded in the DUET framework (Dignity, Uniqueness, Experience, and Togetherness). This training offers tools and approaches to enhance communication, foster meaningful relationships, and engage in individualized care and support.
