The following are events throughout the community that may be helpful to caregivers, those with dementia, and those interested in making their communities more dementia-friendly. There are both virtual and live events, some hosted by The Ohio Council for Cognitive Health, and many hosted by our friends and partners in the community. We hope you find them helpful!

Dementia rarely travels alone, meaning approximately 70% of individuals living with dementia experience one or more comorbid/coexisting conditions. In this presentation, we’ll explore the four most common comorbidities seen in individuals living with dementia and the potential impact on quality of life, health outcomes, and caregiver burden. Strategies and resources to improve management of comorbidities in dementia care, while decreasing caregiver burden will be discussed.

A Presentation from the International Association for Indigenous Aging (IA2) on Brain Health and Dementia among Native Peoples
The Geriatric Resource Ohio Workgroup (GROW) ECHO Series is a free education program running monthly on the 4th Wednesday, 12:30–1:30 p.m. Topics covered include issues such as Geriatric Syndromes, Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias, Issues in Aging, and Healthy Aging.

As part of the Dementia Friendly Nevada Distinguished Speaker Series, speakers present various topics in dementia care.
A free virtual KAER Toolkit for Brain Health Training. Designed for healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary care teams, we will provide practical strategies for promoting brain health, recognizing cognitive impairment, and connecting individuals and their care partners with valuable community resources. This training is free, and 1.0 CEUs are available for eligible participants who attend the live session.
